1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Animal Welfare Society Inc. website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
2. About Our Services
AWS provides a platform for connecting potential adopters with rescue dogs through our Weekly Rescue Exchange events, Fast Track Pre-Approval program, All-Star Dog Spotlight program, and related services. AWS does not own, foster, or directly place animals. All adoption decisions, contracts, fees, and custody transfers are handled exclusively by the participating rescue organizations.
3. Fast Track Pre-Approval Program
- Pre-approval is issued by AWS based on the information you provide. It is not a guarantee of adoption.
- Each rescue partner retains full authority to approve or decline any adoption application, regardless of Fast Track status.
- Providing false or misleading information in your application may result in immediate revocation of your pass and a permanent ban from AWS events.
- Fast Track Passes expire 90 days from issuance and must be renewed.
- AWS reserves the right to revoke any pass at any time for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns or policy violations.
4. Event Attendance
- All attendees must follow the rules posted at each event, including leash requirements, child supervision, and handler instructions.
- AWS reserves the right to remove any attendee from an event for safety, behavioral, or policy reasons without refund.
- Reservations are not guaranteed — event capacity is limited and subject to change.
5. Donations and Raffle
- Donations are processed securely via Stripe and are non-refundable except as required by law.
- Raffle tickets are non-refundable. Winners are selected randomly and notified by email.
- AWS is a nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Consult your tax advisor.
6. Rescue Partner Terms
- Rescue partners are solely responsible for the health, behavior, and custody of animals they bring to events.
- Rescue partners must have a licensed handler present at all times for each dog they bring.
- All adoption contracts, fees, and post-adoption follow-up are the exclusive responsibility of the rescue partner.
- AWS may remove any rescue partner from the program at any time for safety, compliance, or policy reasons.
7. Limitation of Liability
AWS provides its Services "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AWS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services, attendance at events, or adoption of animals facilitated through our platform.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Animal Welfare Society Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without written permission.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Okaloosa County, Florida.
